In January 2003, I was fortunate enough to attend the Utah College of Massage Therapy, where I completed a 10-month intensive course, specializing in Clinical Massage.
Since then, I have worked in a variety of settings including Zum Fitness, Greenlake Massage, Club Emerald , Sammamish Chiropractic, and currently, Frame & Bodywork, where I have learned the most about the healing power of therapeutic touch. Over the years and in these different environments, I have had the wonderful experience of working with a variety of clientele including triathletes, sports injury, motor vehicle accident, post operative and paraplegic.
My ultimate goal as a massage therapist is to coach my clients on how to more effectively listen to their bodies. Physical pain and discomfort are the bodies way of speaking out. It is very important not to ignore or mask this voice. My approach to bodywork consists of first listening to the client and to their body. I most primarily use soothing, relaxing techniques, fused with a deeper, connective tissue massage, which instills a greater sense of body awareness.
This body awareness coupled with stretching and movement re-education, will help the body and mind fall back into alignment. This new found balance, will promote healing, alleviate physical pain and allow you to feel freedom of movement and freedom to change.
